Corpus linguistics is the study of language as expressed in corpora (samples) of "real world" text. Corpus linguistics proposes that reliable language analysis is more feasible with corpora collected in the field in its natural context ("realia"), and with minimal experimental-interference.

Most recent corpus resources: BNClab materials are based on the state-of-the-art corpus resources such as the British National Corpus 2014 (completed in 2018). Since it release, it became one of the major resources in the study of the English language and is used widely by researchers all over the world. This is an area where corpus linguistics can fill the gap. Using corpus data allows teachers and students to study naturally occurring English language for grammatical patterns, word usage and textual discourse. In addition, corpus-based teaching allows teachers to develop their hands-on activities that cater for students at different levels.
